IN THE MUD

FIRST DUCK
Blogger "The Writing Huntress" went on her first waterfowl hunt this year when her state of North Carolina got hit with unexpected snow. With the ground frozen but a pond still full of water, a flock of ducks worked the pond in front of the small trio of hunters, and she took her shot. Down came a fully mature American black duck. STILL HUNTING
According to proud owner Brad Hill, his 14-year-old golden retriever, Izzy, is in the "sunset of his life," and this brazen retrieve seems to prove it. This shot was taken after a day of freezing temperatures in Arkansas during a mallard hunt.
