After more than three decades in business, Go-Devil is still going strong. Go-Devil Surface Drive engines are available in four hp/engine configurations: an 18 hp Vanguard; a 23 hp Vanguard; a 27 hp Kohler; and a 35 hp Vanguard. These rigs host many of the same features of the long-tail models, including bronze bushings that keep shaft whip at bay and a pressure lubricator that properly maintains the drive system and cuts down on maintenance, but the short-shaft models also employ a constant velocity joint that makes engine angle tilt disappear.
