The Best Duck and Goose Decoys of 2025

If you're looking to upgrade you're spread—and as waterfowlers, we always are—this list has the best of the best to help you stand out from the competition and bring the best decoys to field or marsh.

The Best Duck and Goose Decoys of 2025
Blue Bird Waterfowl The Animator

I‘m not one for walking around an art museum looking at paint splattered against a canvas and crying because of the artist’s passion. I guess I may lack some sophistication. When I think of artwork, I think of a well carved decoy; the intricate lines of feathers, the subtle hues of paint to perfectly mimic a real duck. That, to me, is true art.

If you really want to create a masterpiece—a waterfowler’s idea of the Sistine Chapel—take those decoys and place them in a pattern to look like a flock of birds on the water. As the sun crests over the marsh, and you look at those decoys bobbing on the water, there you have your magnum opus. Every time I stare out at a spread of decoys, whether on the water or in a dry field, I can’t help but admire the time and effort that goes into creating all the amazing details and realistic features we use to kill ducks and geese. But, unlike the art hanging in museums, our decoys go through rigorous torture, and we can never have too many; so, grab hold of your favorite drink, and let’s enjoy an art show of a waterfowler’s favor as we look at the best decoys for 2025.

DOA Decoys Rogue Series Full Body Canadas

DOA Decoys Rogue Series Full Body Canadas
DOA Decoys Rogue Series Full Body Canadas

Featuring a new overhaul to add extra realism to an already hyper-realistic decoy, DOA Decoys has undertaken to make their Rogue Series of Canada goose full bodies even better. Having had the chance to use these decoys on a series of hunts this past season, I can tell you that they are a fantastic option for any serious honker hunter. The one-piece construction is a personal favorite of mine, while the paint is durable and the HEX base system allows the decoys to move with the slightest of wind. Not to mention, they are extremely lightweight, so carrying them in and out of the field is a breeze. These decoys look fantastic to the human eye, but what’s more important is they look good to the birds too. On three different late season hunts using the Rogue Series, we left with limits each day. That was proof enough for me. Each package of six comes with three feeders, two actives and one sentry.

G&H Decoys Magnum Mallard

G&H Decoys Magnum Mallard
G&H Decoys Magnum Mallard

Made right here in the U.S., G&H is still building some of the best, most durable decoys on the market. One of the title sponsors of WILDFOWL’s new show Inside the Blind, Skip Knowles and Big Jim McConville had the chance to hunt over their decoys many times and came back with glowing reviews. One of their favorites was the Magnum Mallard; an oversized decoy measuring 18” long. These decoys are made to be noticed and bring birds in tight to the blind. Featuring bold paint lines, the Magnum Mallard will stand out on even the cloudiest days making sure you don’t go unnoticed by birds overhead. These decoys feature a swivel head, proprietary G&H paint, multiple rigging points, a recessed bottom for lifelike motion, and enough keel to withstand the highest of winds. Sold in packs of a dozen, with eight drakes and four hens, these decoys are a great way for you to take home more birds this season—we have the video proof.

Rig’Em’s Mainline decoys have been designed with the ideal width and balance to ride perfectly with Texas rigs or RMR’s original anchors. EZ Dekes 4 oz Timber Rigs

EZ Dekes 4 oz Timber Rigs
EZ Dekes 4 oz Timber Rigs

Ain’t it fun to see a product for the first time and just know instantly “these guys get it?” I love any sort of design to make my life easier when hunting. EZ Dekes have come out with an array of rigging to make all waterfowler’s decoy deployments and post-hunt organization a simple task. Their Texas rigs have been a dream come true for me, a guy who constantly leaves decoys sitting in the bed of my truck or scattered in a boat; but what really caught my attention this year were their Timber Rigs. I find that their 4 oz weights are perfect for almost every scenario, and the slimmed down size of the weight is designed for hunting in areas with softer bottoms and more vegetation. The Flat Bank weight won’t collect as much gunk when gathering decoys to re-arrange or pick up, and the PVC coated cable will last forever. The cable comes in lengths of 12”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”, and 48”. These rigs will be perfect for wherever you find yourself tossing out a decoy spread!

Lucky Duck Agitator 2.0 MAX

Lucky Duck Agitator 2.0 MAX
Lucky Duck Agitator 2.0 MAX

Lucky Duck is showing off their motion decoy muscles to help you bag more birds this year with their Agitator 2.0 MAX. This decoy allows you to create all the ruckus that happens when content birds start to feed. The exhaust tube on the decoy can be removed for easier transport, or turned upside down to create a “wobble” motion when the birds are extra wary. Coming with a 12V Lithium-ion battery, the Agitator 2.0 MAX has a run time of 10-12 hours. A feature I came to love was the oversize on/off switch that’s easy to use even with my too-big PVC coated rubber gloves. You can also program the Agitator to a remote, which gives you control over when the decoy needs to be in motion to get those ducks into range.

Banded Finisher Sprinkler Decoy

Banded Finisher Sprinkler Decoy
Banded Finisher Sprinkler Decoy

Made to create a realistic splashing motion that ripples throughout the spread, this decoy is made from GHG’s ultra-realistic Pro-Grade decoy body. Like those sprinkler heads you see spraying water from the hose in front yards, this decoy works very similar, just without the added water pressure. The water shoots up from the back of the bird to imitate the splashing and beating wings that are commonly seen among content birds on the water. This gives life and motion to the rest of your decoys, while also reassuring the birds overhead that the fake decoys below look like a flock of the real thing. The Finisher Sprinkler has an internal lithium-ion battery with a seven-hour run time, a plug-in charger, and you absolutely cannot beat the foam filled body for those times when your friend gets disoriented and hammers the decoys instead of the duck, though he promised last time it would never happen again.

Blue Bird Waterfowl The Animator

Blue Bird Waterfowl The Animator
Blue Bird Waterfowl The Animator

Ducks make lots of noise when they’re content on the water. A good chunk of that noise is the sound of water splashing from wingbeats. If you want to add a whole new level of confidence to your spread, The Animator from Blue Bird Waterfowl is a brilliant idea that incorporates a new type of motion to your spinning wing decoy. Attach The Animator wings to your spinner and see as the wing attachment adds the sound of natural splashing water to your spread. These sweet spinner wings are made to be hyper-realistic, and they are assembled here in the U.S.. Blue Bird also backs everything with no questions asked, full money-back guarantee if something just doesn’t work out. But I have a hunch you won’t be sending anything back once you see these wings in action!

Lucky Duck Swimmer 2.0 MAX
Lucky Duck Swimmer 2.0 MAX

This decoy is so dang cool! Lucky Duck’s original Swimmer decoy was a game changer when it came to on-water realism, and now, with a new makeover to bring it to life even more, the Swimmer 2.0 MAX will have your spread looking like a refuge of birds. A high-output jet propulsion system creates a natural swimming movement that looks just like a duck, and the folks at Lucky Duck have added Decoy Follower, which attaches to the included pump on the Swimmer to pull two other static decoys, allowing you to have three swimming decoys at one time. This thing truly has everything to make your spread come to life! Available in mallard drake or hen and pintail drake.
