Go-Devil has focused on improvements to existing models in the company's mud motor line in 2010. Perhaps the biggest news is an improved Briggs & Stratton engine on the Go-Devil 35-horse Vanguard marine motor. The fuel pump has been changed from a mechanical pump to a high-volume vacuum pump to help improve fuel delivery.
The muffler on the engine is now constructed from stainless steel to combat rust -- a move that will no doubt benefit coastal hunters or anyone running the engine in saltwater. Improvements to other internal components include a rev limiter built into the ignition coil and an electronic spark advance, which should provide a little more horsepower, in addition to allowing the engine to idle at lower speeds.

And while we're on the topic of speed and power, weight has been trimmed in the flywheel for a quicker hole-shot.
The 35-horse model a surface-drive motor designed for heavier loads. Options include a water/fuel filtering system, which is a wise investment for today's boat owners given the ethanol content in most gasoline, a handlebar kit, a hot-dipped galvanized frame (again, a good option for hunters frequenting saltwater areas), camouflage, water-resistant cover and a tachometer/hour meter. An optional high-transom version of this motor for boats with 20-inch transoms is available.
