Otter Outdoors Duck Boats

Otter Outdoors' 17-foot Beavertail with 27 hp Beavertail longtail motor.

Otter Outdoors' ((800) 413-0020) Beavertail duck boats feature welded hulls, integrated gun boxes, diamond plate flooring and hand-painted camouflage.

New for 2008 are boat, motor and trailer packages measuring 16 feet by 48 inches, 17 feet by 50 inches and 18 feet by 54 inches. All include dual gun boxes, front and rear navigation lights, marine-grade wiring with switch panel, custom camouflage paint, diamond plate flooring, 12-volt plug-in, keels, performance pods, camouflage seats with bases, battery and battery box, 20 to 35 horsepower motor and a 1,500 pound galvanized trailer. Packages start at $8,999.

The above-mentioned performance pods can be attached to your existing johnboat, adding 200 pounds of extra flotation and eliminating the negative performance associated with the weight of a 4-stroke engine. The pods cut the tail drag associated with shallow water running and provide for a better hole shot. As a bonus they can be used as a dog ladder and sitting platform.
