The Thermacell is a portable hand-held device - about the size of a GPS unit - with a tiny, butane-powered burner.

Turn on the burner with the flick of a switch and it warms a specially treated repellent pad releasing allethrin (a naturally occurring insecticide) into the air, creating a 225-square-foot bug-free zone. If you don't believe it works, try it.
