Through an exclusive licensing agreement with Twilight Labs, Flambeau has launched a new line of decoys painted to replicate the way birds see color. Unlike people, waterfowl have an additional photoreceptor that is sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light. Feathers have a distinct UV reflection based on their natural pigmentation. Because conventional decoy paints are loaded with UV absorbers, standard decoy colors look unnatural to the birds hunters are trying to fool.

Flambeau is using patent-pending UVision coating technology on its leading brand of waterfowl decoys to match the reflectance of real feathers in the full range of light visible to birds, including UV.
